This edition of “Pillow Talk” I had the pleasure to talk with another friend of mine from the Northwest part of the country and up and coming porn star that burst out into the scene last year with a great scene from BlackBreeders. From his initial scene, he was an instant hit with fans. But many folks know of him from his provocative photos posted on various blog sites! So his transition to doing porn was pretty much a given. His sexy looks, lean hairy inked body, juicy ass and thick long uncut dick along with his healthy sexual appetite has made him a sought after porn star! I had an opportunity to talk with Seraph recently about his upbringing in the Seattle area, his love of music and dance, his experience in the military and so much more in this in – depth interview. 1.  Many of your fans would like to know more about you. So tell us about yourself… How old are you? What was your childhood like? Etc.

My name is Nicholas (aka “Seraph”) and I’m 26 years old. I’m was born and raised in Seattle WA. I had a very happy yet somewhat sheltered childhood. I’m the middle sibling of my older brother (7 years older) and younger sister (2 years younger). So I had my privacy and independence growing up. I was very mature for my age and what folks would call “a square” lol. In school I was the quiet shy nerd in high-water pants that hardly talked and always had my big jacket and hood on trying to hide myself. My focus was school and music, starting clarinet in the 4th grade and moving up to Alto sax in 5th. I joined the marching and symphonic band from middle school to high school until my junior year I switched to concert choir where I sang baritone/bass and I also joined dance team. I was voted “most Unique” and “best Dancer” for my class. I was friends with everyone in school but I never had that group that I belonged to myself. I just went str8 to school, band/ choir events, dance practice, and played video games. Since I didn’t hang with kids outside of school my main influences were my family.

2.  Many might not know you’re from the Seattle area. Lots of us don’t think there too many of “us” in the Northwest Region of the Country LOL. What is the gay scene like in the Seattle area? Especially for Men of Color?

LOL very true we are here just hidden in spots. I never been anywhere else so I don’t have anything to compare Seattle’s gay scene to. I just know that when I came onto the gay scene at age 23 I didn’t know any of these dudes. Everything is in Downtown Seattle if you wanna find the gay “Posse’ on Broadway St. and Pike. if you like Pale white men, Seattle is perfect lol. Most of the Snow bunnies are in Seattle and if you want to find black men into black men, you gotta go south to Rainier Beach/Renton or Federal Way/ Tacoma.

3.  As we got to know each other over the last couple of years, you told me you were in the military. If you care to share, which branch were you in and how was your experience serving our country?

I was in the Marines from 2006 to 2008. It was ok.. it wasn’t for me.  I only joined because I needed to find a means to pay for college. I was expecting more organization and efficiency instead of the “be on time to sit and wait”. I got “recruited” by false means, being told that if I ever went to Iraq that i would be doing my Military occupational skill (MOS) as Warehouse Clerk/Supply, but that wasn’t the case when I got sent to do infantry/base security in Habbaniya, Iraq in 2008′ . I did have some fun times with my fellow enlisted Marines!

4.  Did you have some “Hot” times with some of your fellow military brothers? 

NOOOOO lol. “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was still around and I was still hiding it myself and a virgin at the time. I was in boot camp when I learned that I had a nice size piece lol. it was awkward all of us showering together and then this dude walks up and asks “what’s it like having a big dick?” in front of everyone, like its regular conversation. Everyone starts to join in talking about it, another guy asked me to shake it LOL. Multiple dudes saying I should do porn and couldn’t believe I was a virgin. LOL. So, I ended up being known for that. Even in Iraq, the Marines saying “oh Reed’s here, we gotta go now before he makes us look bad”. Folks I haven’t met knew about my dick. So folks were talking but I kept it quiet and didn’t try anything.

5.  Many people were introduced to you from your provocative photos and videos on various Blogs, Twitter and Facebook. Have you always been such an exhibitionist?

I have always been an exhibitionist but in private around certain people. I wasn’t open about it until I got comfortable being open in public because I didn’t want any problems or attention on me or to make others around me uncomfortable. So the desire was there but wasn’t trying to make myself a pariah.

6. Did you always have a desire to do porn? If so, do you believe your blog, twitter, etc. was the launching pad for you to get your start in the porn business?

No it wasn’t something I thought of as a career. I just wanted to do it for the enjoyment of making a video and if i’m doing it for free for fun, why not get paid for it? The pictures were the start to adult modeling not full on porn. I was first adding self-photos on Flickr and a photographer named Malik Williams introduced me to ModelMayhem, which is where I met the photographers i worked with such as Andrew Adam Caldwell, a local photographer in Seattle who does the majority of my shoots and other shoots with models/porn stars such as Kory Kong and Buster Sly. Through ModelMayhem, I ended up networking with other models and eventually it crossing over to Facebook and Twitter.

7. Your introduction to porn was with BlackBreeders.com and you were partnered with legendary top “Champ Robinson”. How was your experience working with him? BlackBreeders.com?

Working with Champ Robinson was wonderful. He was my co-star in my first scene and he made things go smoothly and made me feel comfortable and  the shoot enjoyable. As far as Blackbreeders? I’m thankful for the opportunity but its not the place for me. I enjoyed meeting all the models and would enjoy working with them again elsewhere.

8. Your porn name “Seraph” is very unique. How did you come up with that name?

I got the name from a Final Fantasy 7 character whose name, Sephiroth (one winged angel), was inspired by the word Seraph which is a 6 winged angel. I just like the story behind Seraphim and what they represent in the very little info that there is on them and it was a different sounding name.

9. With you becoming more known in gay porn via your blogs and now the scene from BlackBreeders.com, I’m curious to know if any of your family knows about the video and all the photos? LOL If so, what are their thoughts?

OMG LOL… I don’t know about the videos but they know about the photos. My brother found out and joked about it but its not something that we talk about. I don’t talk about it and they haven’t asked so I can’t say how they feel exactly.

10. If given the opportunity, would you be open to work with other “Urban” (i.e. RawStrokes, Machofucker, etc.) or “mainstream” (i.e. Lucas Entertainment, Raging Stallion/Falcon, etc.) companies?

I’m open to other “Urban” companies and possibly “mainstream” if there’s a good vibe with the company, models and their videos.

11. We have talked about the upcoming launch of my company, MEN Entertainment, which will put a positive, mature and fresh face of Men of Color in porn! The purpose is to combat the lingering negative stereotypes (i.e. thug) of Men of Color perpetuated by both whites and black/latinos porn companies. What is your take on this?

I agree with you. It be great to show the diversity within gay men of color that paints a more honest picture of us. The racial vibe in both “Urban” and “mainstream” porn is apparent, which is one of the reasons i was hesitant in doing porn cuz i dont know how to act like a thug and some of the white porn is degrading.

12. From your experiences in the industry thus far, what are some things you would like to see change within the porn industry?

The same thing we need everywhere else. Better pay. Better model treatment. Ive only stuck my toe in so i cant say much from my experience and i cant just go off of one bad experience with one company.

13. Your introduction into porn is with a company that specializes in bareback/raw! Was this by choice and would be open to do safe scenes if the opportunity presented itself?

Yes I chose to do bareback and Im open to “safe scenes” as well.

14. In my prior interviews, I’ve asked about the ongoing debate whether or not people performing Bareback/Raw porn encourage viewers to perform “unsafe” sexual practices. Many critics believe it has lead to the rise in HIV infections in the gay/bi community, particularly with young Black/Latino males. What is your take on their opinions?

There’s always gonna be people who want to copy so I’m sure it has influenced a lot but I don’t think it encourages bareback as in telling folks its ok to do. its entertainment and you gotta be responsible for your own sexual practices and know  the risks.

15. We all have a type of guy that turns us on sexually. For you to give the best in a video, and in general, what type of guy(s) are you sexually attracted to?

I really like men with dark features and a quiet confidence and someone who can smile. I love hairy dudes if the hair’s right lol. I’m turned on more by attitude than just looks.

16. Which porn stars would you love the opportunity to work with in future videos?

I would love to possibly work with Jordan Stone, Woo, Marc Dupree, Ty Lattimore, Buster Sly and many more. 🙂

17. What I, along with your fans, find sexy about you is that you exhibit a natural masculinity and you’re very passionate with your sex! However, we have only seen you bottom (so far). Are you willing to be versatile or top on film?  In your private life, are you versatile or lean more towards to top or bottom?

I’d very much like to be versatile or top on film so that I’d have something besides the one homemade vid of me lol. I’m fully versatile in my private life.

18.  In your first video, you did a 1-1 scene. Would you be open to do 3some/Group sex on film? How about in your private life?

Yup!!! The interracial scenes i did with blackbreeders were a 5some and a 3some. I enjoy group activities but not with selfish people in it. My best 3ways I have had were with couples.

19. Do you prefer to fuck a guy with a smooth or hairy ass? When being fucked, do you prefer a guy’s dick to be long or thick or both?

I’m currently single and not looking at the moment, let me find some friends first and then progress from there.

22. Porn careers are usually short lived. How long do you see yourself being in the adult industry? What are your plans upon retiring from the porn industry?

I have no clue.  As long as its fun and I’m enjoying whats being made, I’ll keep doing it, even if that means making my own videos!

23. During your spare time, what are some of your hobbies/interests?

I do enjoy music and dance in my free time. I sing, do martial arts choreography lol…play xbox 360 games (Gamertag: Dr R0b0tNick spelled with zeroes) and just like to kick back with friends and family and relax and smoke a few bowls.

24. What is something your fans might be shocked to know about you!

Damn I don’t know whats left to share that could shock folks. i like to eat Balut (duck egg) lol

25. If there is anything you could change about yourself, what would it be and why?

Being naive and too trusting. i like to see the good in people even though its at my own expense sometimes.

26. Just recently the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld the lower courts decision on Same Sex Marriage in California. It’s now legal in 13 states, including your home state of Washington, and DC. What are your views on Same Sex Marriage? Do you see yourself getting married in the future?

I believe its everyones right to get married and someday I hope to get married but probably with a prenup.

I had an opportunity to talk with Smoke recently about his upbringing in the Seattle area, his love of family, Aaliyah and so much more in this in -depth interview. I hope you enjoy!!!

1.    Tell us a little about yourself  (age, what your childhood was like, etc.)

I’m 26. I come from a very big family with lots aunts and uncles so I have a lot of cousins. LOL. My childhood was pretty good despite early on I had experienced domestic violence with my parents and I didn’t like that. But once they divorced when I was 12, things got better. I don’t really have a relationship with my father though. He doesn’t even recognize me. Kind of sad but life moves on!

2.    Many might not know you’re from the Seattle area. Lots of us don’t think there too many of “us” in the Northwest Region of the Country LOL. What is the gay scene like in the Seattle area? Especially for Men of Color?

The gay scene is the same like any other major city. Lots of clubs, guys drinking, smoking and fucking, etc. LOL Many black men don’t date other black men, which is somewhat common on the West Coast. I’m not against interracial dating but just hate to see self -hating black men. And the black men who date each other in this area have dated people that I know, etc. Its like Six Degrees of Separation LOL.

3.    I’m assuming your porn name isn’t your birth name. J  How did you come up with your porn name “Smoke”?

I got my name basically from the fact I like to smoke some weed. LOL. Simple as that. LOL And it’s great that in Washington State you can smoke a small amount “legally” 🙂

4.    You’re relatively a newbie to the gay porn business. Your introduction into porn started with Black Rayne/Breed It Raw about 2 years ago. How has your experiences been in the porn business so far? (The good & The bad)

It’s been really weird. Initially, when I started, I got a lot of accolades from customers and industry people. But what I didn’t like was people trying to create all this drama to work with them (i.e. sleep with them, drama, etc.) and I wasn’t trying to do that. I just wanted to do my job and bounce!

5.    How did you get involved in the porn business? Were you “spotted” and encouraged to do it by friends or you just knew you were a sexy exhibitionist and wanted the world to know what you can do in the bedroom!!! LOL

Ever since I was a kid I was very sexual. When I was 19, I applied to work for CocoDorm but I chickened out at the last minute. A few years later once I moved to San Antonio, I connected with Breed It Raw again and we took things from there!

6.    Since your introduction into porn, all of your scenes have been bareback/raw Is this by choice? Would you be open to do condom scenes if the opportunity presented itself?

It was by choice mainly because that was the 1^st company I decided to work for and they do only raw porn. I am open to condom scenes. But I have to be honest and say I prefer it raw. It just feels better.

Personally, we are all adults and we make our own decisions on if we will use condoms are not. You can’t blame the porn industry for actions of individual choices. I’m sure most of it like it raw but we, as individuals, make the decision whether or not to use a condom.

8.    So far, you’ve mainly worked with mainly what some would call “Urban” studios. If given the opportunity, would you be open to work with other mainstream companies (i.e. Lucas Entertainment, Raging Stallion/Falcon, etc.)?

Yeah man. If they reach out to me, I would be more than interested in working with them

9.    When we first meet a couple of years ago, I mentioned that I am working hard to launch my own production company, MEN Entertainment, which will put a positive, mature and fresh face of Men of Color in porn! Much of the porn featuring black and latino models are mainly based on negative stereotypes perpetuated by both whites and within the black/latino community. I would like to know your take on this!

What I would like for your company to do is expand the visuals of Men of Color in porn. How many times can we fuck in the same hotel or apartment? LOL. Do something where we are at work or out and about and have spontaneous sexual experience. Also, tap into the fetish market as well. I know we have talked about how you will do that and I can’t wait to work for your company.

10. You’ve become a well-known performer from your photos and videos on various Blogs, Twitter and Facebook, to your work with Breed It Raw. Your handsome clean-cut appearance, nice body and juicy ass are huge turn-ons for many of your fans! With that comes some negativity from some people who have a negative viewpoint on porn stars (even though they are secretly watching you…LOL) How do you handle the criticism?

At first it used to get to me. I was wonder why so many people could be so mean and all. But at the same time, I got so many comments and messages from people who said they liked my work and that outnumbered the haters. So I just didn’t really focus on it. Actually the negative comments, etc. made me a stronger person and made me work harder to make sure my scenes were hot!

11. Does your family know you are in the adult film business? If so, what are their thoughts?

Some of my family knows but not all. LOL. Some of my younger cousins do but they haven’t told the others (I don’t think). And at this point I really don’t care!

12. We all have a type of guy that turns us on sexually. What kind of men are you sexually attracted to that’ll ensure your best performance on film?

For filming, I don’t really have a type per se since I see it as work.

13. You have worked with some sexy men during your porn career. Two scenes that stand out are with co-stars Antonio Biaggi and the 3some scene with Romance and Knight with Breed it Raw! Which porn stars have you really enjoyed working with?

I enjoyed working with Big Redd, Jermany, Romance; Knight, Slim Thug and Antonio Biaggi

14. For future films, which porn stars would you like to do a scene with?

I would love to work with Addiction, Venom, Dream and Race Cooper!

15. What I, along with other men, find sexy about you is that you exhibit a natural masculinity. I think you have become so popular, and will have staying power, because not only are you attractive but you are very passionate with your sex as well. However, we have only seen you bottom. Are you willing to be versatile on film?  In your private life, are you a strict bottom or versatile?

Oh Definitely. My first scene with Breed it Raw was with Jermany and I was supposed to top him but I got stage fright I guess. LOL. I couldn’t get hard so he ended up fucking me. But I’m definitely down to do versatile scenes and would prefer it in future work.

16. You have done 1 on 1’s and 3somes scenes on film. Do you prefer one on one or 3somes/group sex?  How about in your private life?

I prefer both actually while doing it for work. I’m not really into 3somes in my private life. I’m not really into the open relationship type of thing. I could be with the right guy but as for right now, in a relationship I’m truly 1 on 1.

17. What’s your favorite position to be fucked?

I honestly don’t have any regrets. I chose to work in this industry because at the time I entered it with expectations that I thought were important for me at that time. But now that I’ve experienced it, I realized those things weren’t as important as I thought and my views of porn have somewhat changed.

20. The life span of many guy’s porn careers are 1-3 years.  But I have a feeling we will see you go on for a few more years. You just seem like a natural exhibitionist. How long do you see yourself being in the business? What are your plans upon retiring from the industry?

Again I do love sex and the whole exhibitionism type of thing. I can see myself doing more erotic modeling and dancing. I don’t see myself doing much porn too much longer!

21. I’m sure many of your admirers would love to get with you. So you know I’m going to ask…Are you single at the moment? J (If you’re single, what type of guy do you want to be with?)

Yes I am single at the moment! J

22. If you are in a relationship, has your work in the adult industry been a problem when you initially started dating? (Answer if you are currently in relationship)

In past relationships, it has caused some problems. For instance, when I was active in the industry some of my partners thought since I was having sex with various people, they felt they could as well! And that’s not the same thing. I was doing it for work and they were just doing it ..just because! So that caused some issues!

23. What is something your fans might be shocked to know about you!

I’m incredibly shy. When I’m out, some people say I look I’m disinterested or mad when I don’t speak but its not that. I’m just a shy person. LOL

24. If there is anything you could change about yourself, what would it be & why?

I don’t really care for my hairy body. I know most people think I’m smooth but that’s because I shave it off. But I’m naturally hairy and don’t really care for it!

25. What hobbies do you enjoy? What do you like to do in your spare time?

Spending time with my family. I love those times with family. I love running. I’m also into writing poetry and slowly getting into writing music. Watch movies and cook! Go to museums and plays!

“Pillow Talk” with Daemon Sadi

Daemon Sadi might be a new face to some of you who love porn but he has actually been doing it awhile. Having working with several porn companies the last few years, he has been more active over the last year or so with Breed Me Raw/Raw Joxxx. I’ve known him for awhile from our involvement in the Leather/BDSM Community and I knew how freaky he was. LOL. So his transition to doing porn was pretty much a given. I had the opportunity to have a good interview with him talking about a range of topics and also seeing who Daemon Sadi is behind the screen. I do hope you enjoy the interview!!!

 

1. Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? How old are you? What was your childhood like? Etc.
   • I’m originally from Wilmington, NC where I was born and raised.  I went to college for two years, then joined the USMC but only stayed in for two years and six months because I decided to come out of the closet (back then Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell was still in effect).  After I left the military I stayed in NC for a year then moved to NYC in 2004 where I lived for seven years.  In 2010, I meet a great guy; we dated for a year before I moved to FL to live with him which is where I’m at now.
2. Your porn name is very unique. How did you get your porn name “Daemon Sadi”?
   • Thank you, I got my porn name from one of my favorite books in the world written by Anne Bishop.  The title of the book series is called the “Black Jewels Trilogy”.  One of the main characters is this guy named Daemon Sadi and he’s supposed to be this tall, dark, sexy, seductive, mysterious character with these dark powers.  I dreamed that I was like him so when I started to do porn, I figured that he would be my perfect alter ego.
3. You’re relatively a newbie to the gay porn business.  I believe you started out with Forbidden Funk/Black Breeders.  From there, you have worked with Thug Mania, ThreshHold Media and now recently with Raw Joxxx/Breed Me Raw.  How has your experiences been in the porn business so far? Anything you were surprised to see? (The good? The bad? The ugly?)
   • You’re right that I’m very new to the porn industry.  I got involved mainly because I wanted to have fun, and to leave somewhat of a legacy behind once I’m dead and gone.  Well, since I don’t plan to be in politics or become a real actor/movie star, doing porn was my next choice.  Besides, I love having sex so why not do it on camera.  As far as my experiences thus far in the business, I would say that I’ve had a good run so far.  I’ve worked with good guys who I was sexually attracted to and was able to develop some type of chemistry with while filming.  Also, I’ve worked with good producers that paid well for the films.  I’ve realized that not everyone pays the same, but it all depends on how big the company is.  However, I really not doing this to become rich and famous, just doing it to have fun and enjoy myself with some other hot, sexy guys.
4. With you becoming more known in gay porn, I’m curious to know if any of your family knows you are in the porn business. If so, what are their thoughts?
   • Honestly, I have no idea if my family knows that I’m in porn and really don’t care if they do.  It’s my life & I live it the way that I see fit.

5. Some people can have a one-dimensional view of men who do porn. What would you say are some of the misconceptions people have about you?
   • Not sure what misconceptions that people would have about me.  However, if people wanted me to tell them the kind of guy that I am is that I’m a melting pot of personalities all mixed into one.  I’m out going, fun, crazy, weird, silly, and extroverted.  It all depends on who I’m with and where I’m at.
6. If given the opportunity, would you be open to work with other mainstream companies (i.e. Lucas Entertainment, Raging Stallion/Falcon, etc.)?
   • Yes, I’d love to work with other mainstream companies if given the chance.  I don’t think that I will do because this is mainly just something I do for fun and not trying to make a career out of it like some other hard core porn stars.
7. We have talked in the past about me launching a company, MEN Entertainment, which will put a positive, mature and fresh face of Men of Color in porn!  The purpose is to combat the lingering negative stereotypes (i.e. thug) of Men of Color perpetuated by both whites and black/latinos porn companies.  What is your take on this?
   • Well considering since I’m far from being a “thug” (I’m more of a nerd if you really wanted to know) so I think that having a company that changes the way men of color is viewed in porn is a good idea.  Also, I’d love to be part of this change as well.

8. From your experiences in the industry thus far, what are some things you would like to see change within the porn industry?
   • Well I’d like to see more men of color being filmed in more mainstream porn companies.
9. Since your introduction into porn, all but one of your scenes has been bareback/raw!  Is this by choice or would be open to do safe scenes if the opportunity presented itself?
   • To be honest, I really prefer raw sex especially since I’m HIV +, but I’m not against playing safe.  I just prefer to be up front and honest about my status and let who ever I’m playing with decided for them-selves if we play safe or raw. 
10. There is an on-going big debate on whether or not people viewing Bareback/Raw porn promotes “unsafe” sexual practices. Some conclude that viewers watching this type of porn have caused the rise in HIV infections in the gay/bisexual community especially within the Black/Latino community. What are your thoughts on this?
    • Look, we’re all adults here and we can make decisions for ourselves when it comes to health and how we choose to live our lives.  Just because we watch people have “unsafe” sex doesn’t mean we will go out there and do it ourselves.  In this day and age, we all know the health risks involved in playing unsafe.  If we play unsafe then that’s a decision that we make for ourselves and we live with the consequences of that decision.  It’s not because we watched some hot guys fuck that way.
11. During your porn career, you have worked with some sexy men. Which porn stars have you really enjoy working with thus far?
    • Lex Antoine, Santiago Rodriguez, Tyler Reed
12. I think if we are honest with ourselves, we all have a type of guy that turns us on sexually. For you to give the best in a video, and in general, what type of guy(s) are you sexually attracted to?
    • Guys who are shape, have a great personality (someone I can feel comfortable with offset), likes to kiss, and enjoys sex as much as I do.  It also helps when the person is able to just go with the flow and not try to force the sex.

    • Well it really wasn’t a problem when we first started dating because I really wasn’t doing any filming.  I know my partner isn’t total happy with it all but he loves me and he knows that I love him more than life itself.
21. Porn careers are usually short lived. How long do you see yourself being in the adult industry? What are your plans upon retiring from the industry?
    • Maybe for another year or two.  I have a career outside of the industry so I’ll just focus on that.

    • I’m a total nerd and book worm.  I love playing video games (I have two PS3s, an Xbox, and WiiU & and I can’t wait till the PS 4 comes out later this year).  I also have tons of books that I love to read.  Mainly like reading fantasy novels or gay paranormal romance books on my kindle.  I’m also going to school for Information Technology so I’m studying as well.

    • Love is love & we should all have the right to marry who we love.  Yes one day I see myself getting married to my boyfriend.

1. What have you been up to lately? The world hasn’t been graced with your presence in many adult films lately! What gives? LOL

Just enjoyin the family life. I had to make some life changes because I had changed. But truly, just focusing on my family and its a blessing!

2. Curious minds want to know – how did you come up with the porn name “Rogue Blackmon”? LOL 

Well After my 1st shoot, I gave it like a month with long hard thoughts on who I want my alter ego to be!!! I always been a X-Man fan and my favorite character, Rogue, stuck out. I love the way she touch someone and take there power.

3. How did you get into the adult industry? Did someone recruit you or was it a desire to do it? 

No desire!! Well at the time I was a manager @ Bally’s Total Fitness and doing alot traveling. Also I was dating Capone!! LOL You know the rest!! But after the 1st shoot, I loved it.

4. You’re from the Philly area, which is also the home to other famous porn stars (i.e. Remy Mars, Shorty J, Venom, and more). Did you all know each other before starring in adult films?

 Actually no!! We all from different paths…… You know Philly spits outs stars. LOL

5. Your public introduction to urban porn began with Dawgpound USA back in the mid 2000’s. How was it working for them? What was your first day on the set of porn movie like? 

I love Dawgpound. To this day still do!!! It was fantastic….

6. You’ve been in the adult industry, as an erotic dancer/porn start for several years now. Did you think you would have been in the adult industry this long? 

Well I never thought i was goin be in it at alll!! But once I got started I realized it was a job (career) so of course gave it my all.

7. Now that you have been in the adult business, as an erotic dancer and porn star, for some time, do you have any regrets? If you could start all over, would you go into this business? 

Nope!! No regrets. Doin porn tought me so much about myself. I embraced it, and still it keeps me one step above the rest.

8. Does your family know you are in the adult film business? If so, what are their thoughts? 

Some do, but not all. But I will say my family is totally supportive of me. I’m truly blessed with that.

9. What was your childhood like in Philly?

I grew in North Philly from a single parent household. My mom is truly a strong black woman. She played no games!

10. When you started out doing porn, all of your scenes were safe sex videos. As you ventured away from Dawgpound USA, you ventured into Bareback/Raw (i.e. Machofuckers) and Fetish porn (Forbidden Funk Media). Was this by choice? 

Of course!!

11. Continuing on Bareback/Raw sex, I’m sure you are full aware that its making a comeback in porn. From a business perspective it outsells, condom based sex. Some within the community and health profession believe it has lead to the rise in HIV infections, particularly with young Black/Latino males. What is your take on their analysis? 

We know money is the root of all evil!! But thats just a part of it, We all have conscious and intuition. We know right from wrong and we all live in a financially demanding world. There is only one Judge.

12. For all the experience you have had in porn, what changes would you like to see in the porn industry? 

A union!! Fair pay wages for black and white models.

13. During your porn career, you have worked with some sexy men. Which porn stars did really enjoy working with? 

Jay Scorpio, Brick, Stone.

14. When you agreed to do a film, do you have a say so in whom you work with? 

Yes as a veteran performer. That has turned into a requirement.

I currently have inventions that are being patented. I’m also a event planner. I planned and arranged Machofucker’s first sex party last year. And I’m also working on a TV show.

25. In the next 5 – 10 years, do you still plan to be in the adult biz or retired from all of it? If not, what are your plans after retiring from the adult biz? 

No, I’m actually transforming my knowledge and abilities to become a motivational speaker for the gay community in conjunction to the adapting heterosexual community!!

Hello everyone!!! Pillow Talk is back and I had the pleasure to interview one of my “Sons” who is a favorite among Male Erotic Dance circles and Black/Latino porn stars, “BrklynKidd – Eternal”!!! He has been in the adult industry for a few years now and enjoys really enjoys what he does. 1. Tell us a little about yourself  (age, where you from, etc.)

I am 24 years old as of today , Born and raised in Brooklyn NY, now residing here in the city of Atlanta

2. How did you get your porn name “Brklynkidd”? Dancer name “Eternal”?

Well since moving here at the age of 16 and going to high school, I was always repping Brooklyn in any and everything, with people calling me that Brooklyn kid. So I shortened and stuck with it “Brklynkidd”! And coming into my own recently doing porn, it’s the name people know so I kept. But once I started stripping and becoming more well known as an exotic entertainer, I wanted to build a fan base solely on my skills as a performer not anything dealing with brklynkidd! So I thought of the name “Eternal”. Me being Eternal” “Eternal being forever” “Forever being me” and now people know the two personas belongs to one individual.

3. Some of your fans know of you from your xtube videos back in the day while others know of you as erotic dancer “Eternal”. Which one was the “kickstart” that got you motivated to work in the mainstream porn industry?

Well of course Xtube got me my kick start! Surprisingly my amateur videos were giving Breed It Raw’s Que Santiago a run for his money with rawassaddict! My videos were sexyc comical and just hot all round! From there Que decided to shoot me in one of his videos!

4. Once you started working with porn companies, was it all you thought it would be?  

Not at all! Companies would approach me offering me cheap offers or would want you to it (i.e. scene) for far less money and how some of them (i.e. models) are on set is just ridiculous but not all are like that!

5. What was your first film? And what was first day on the set like?

My first film was BreedItRaw’s  “Str8 Outta Brooklyn” with Romance , I was nervous but when I got there, Romance was with his lover (Knight) and they were all smoking and they started cracking jokes on how attractive I looked and was trying to get a 3 sum going. Overall, it was pretty cool and they made me feel comfortable

6. Your filmography is quite impressive. You’ve worked with a variety of ethnic/interracial companies (i.e. Breed It Raw, ChocolateDrop, etc). If given the opportunity, would you be open to work with major gay companies (i.e. Raging Stallion/Falcon, Treasure Island, etc.)?

I WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE to work with them. I even applied for Lucas Entertainment after seeing lucasraunch.com. I fell in love with them. So yes, I would love to work with any one of them.

7. Since your introduction into porn, all of your scenes have been bareback/raw! Is this by choice or would be open to do safe scenes if the opportunity presented itself?

Actually there are a few companies where the video are not out as yet because the company has yet to get off the ground! So with me its whatever I do and what is asked of me within reason! So yes, if presented I wouldn’t have a problem shooting safe sex scenes!

8. In my previous interviews I’ve talked about the latest debate from health professionals whether or not people performing Bareback/Raw porn encourage viewers to perform “unsafe” sexual practices. Many critics believe it has lead to the rise in HIV infections, particularly with young Black/Latino males. What is your take on their analysis?

Well honesty, viewers watching porn see their favorite actors doing it and see it as the hot thing to do. We should be trying to set an example but then again people are going to do what they please whether it is in porn or not. So I don’t think porn has led to the rise of HIV infections!

9. Another problem recently being brought to light about the Adult business is the rampant drug usage (PnP – Party n Play) especially with Meth, Cocaine and other drugs. During your years in the Adult Biz, did you see this first hand? Did you happen to engage in it? If so, how did you kick the habit?

Well yes I have seen it first hand and no I don’t do any sort of drugs!

10. As you know, I am launching my own production company, MEN Entertainment, You’ve been so kind to work with me along with your “brother” Kidd Rockk. The goal is to put a positive, mature and fresh face of Men of Color in porn! Much of the porn featuring black and latino models are mainly based on negative stereotypes perpetuated by both whites and within the black/latino community. I would like to know your take on this!

Sex sells and sexy sells more! I’m sure a mature and civilized look on black men instead of the same old “thug” or gangster being portrayed would be a good thing!

11. You’re a very popular performer from your photos and videos on Xtube and Facebook, to your work with porn companies. Your sexy swagger, nice body and long thick uncut dick and juicy ass are huge turn-ons for many of your fans! With that comes some negativity from some people (i.e. haters) who have a negative viewpoint on porn stars (even though they are secretly watching you. LOL) How do you handle the criticism?

I applaud it. I take it in and I grow especially with whatever video I may be in on myvidster and the comments left! They watch the video from beginning to end and then have something negative to say …I find it comical, and just goes to show you how fickle people can be.

HONESTLY I’m not one for regrets but I would have not entered the industry knowing the effects it has taken on my future. I would have stayed away from this lifestyle in order to pursue my education/career.

23. In the next 5 – 10 years, do you still plan to be in the adult biz or retired from all of it? If not, what are your plans after retiring from the adult biz?

Well I don’t think I’m in the biz now, so I feel I am already retired! Unlike most of the entertainers now ,I don’t aspire to be a porn star and can’t help that I am good at having sex  LOL  But I do aspire to becoming a doctor or anything in the health field!

At the moment I’m single and dating my boo. We are not officially together but we are happy with what we have so!

25. Has your work in the adult biz put any more pressure on your past relationships?

Actually, its sorta 50/50! Of course they don’t like it but they knew at that time. It was my bread and butter so we can eat and not for leisure.

26. How did you lose your virginity?

To a girl, the only girl I dated Felecia. To a guy, unfortunately, I was raped when I was a teenager!

Hello everyone!!! Pillow Talk is back and I had the pleasure to interview one of my all time favorite porn stars, Kevyn “Venom” Mines!!! What I like about him is that there is more to “Venom” than what we see in porn. He actually has a lot going on outside of the porn world. So as he is about to retire from porn (SAD FACE) LOL…you will read he is still very busy entertaining us with his latest projects.  He was gracious enough to take time out of his busy schedule to be interviewed for my blog. So I’m very grateful for that. Enjoy our interview!


Tell us about yourself (age, where you from, etc.)

I am now 28 years old. I am originally from Philadelphia, PA, now residing in Atlanta, GA.

Curious minds want to know – how did you come up with the porn name “Venom”? LOL

I am a super duper Spiderman fan. When I first entered into the business, I didn’t have a “stagename” My friend decided he’d call me Venom. So it’s from the comic books.

How did you get into the adult industry? Was being in porn a “dream” job of yours or something that just kind of happened?

The same friend who gave me my name introduced me to “Peanut Untouchable” who shot my very first scene and introduced me to Marvin Jones of Blatino Connections.  I never dreamed about being in porn. Never even imagined it. When I was growing up I knew I was going to be a pastor.

I know you’re from the Philly area, what is up with Philly? LOL Lately, there have been some hot porn stars coming from that city (i.e. Remy Mars, Shorty J, Woo, and more).

Philly is just full of FREAKS, lol! No, there are a lot of people all over who are doing porn. A lot of guys come from metropolises like NYC, ATL, Detroit, Chicago, Miami, DC. Philly just happens to fall in line with other hot spots.

You’ve been in the industry several years now. Did you think you would have been in the adult industry this long?

No I didn’t. I thought it would be a one time thing. Didn’t plan to make it a career path. I guess I got caught up in the hype of it all. I would travel back and forth to NY from Philly and I’d get bookings at clubs and people really liked me. It kind of stuck.

Does your family know you are in the adult film business? If so, what are their thoughts?

Yes my family knows at this point. I tried to keep it a secret for a while. That was around the time I was growing into myself. But eventually I ended up tell my mom first, then from there I made it public knowledge. My mom says she doesn’t agree with it, but she fully aware of who Venom is.

When we met, I mentioned to you that I am launching my own production company, MEN Entertainment, which will put a positive, mature and fresh face of Men of Color in porn! The purpose is to combat the lingering negative stereotypes perpetuated by both whites and black/latinos porn companies. What is your take on this?

My philosophy is porn is and will always be everyone’s dirty little secret. Since it something that is looked at as dirty and taboo no matter who is doing it, there will be a negative stigma to it. So to that I say, if you (anyone) are going to do, wear it proudly, and respectfully. Don’t be on camera looking trashy, don’t allow someone else to represent you in a bad light. Your name, your image and your word is all you have. It will create your reputation, so if you allow those things to get tarnished your reputation will be too!

Being in the industry as long as you have, what are some things that you were surprised to see? (i.e. drug usage, unprofessionalism, etc.)

Can’t honestly say that anything surprises me on the industry side. I have seen a little bit of everything from producers paying models with coke to models not getting paid at all. Ridiculous twitter wars between porn stars, fights and all. But what surprises me even more are the fans. They will love and adore you and some will tear you into shreds the moment you don’t follow them on twitter, lol.

What was your first day on the set of porn movie like?

It was a little weird because my scene partner was someone I had been sleeping with for a while and he took me to his boyfriend to shoot our scene together and his boyfriend was perfectly fine with it. I was a bit confused and nervous, until the boyfriend started flirting with me too.

What changes would you like to see in the porn industry?

I’d like to see models and producers to stop tearing each other down. They expose each others intimate secrets as if they don’t have dirt of their own. I’d also like to see more responsibility and accountability to our fans. They’re the ones who pay us. We also have the duty as sex performers to practice and promote safe sex. Even if the company is a raw company, they should talk about the dangers and precautions…. Don’t get me started, lol.

You’ve worked mainly with Urban studios (i.e. Dawgpound/PapiThugz, Blatino Connection, etc.). How was it working for them?

Blatino Connection/Chocolate Cream gave me my star, so Marvin Jones is like family to me. In fact his former Vice President the late Larry Williams is my gay father.  So whenever I was on the set there, I was at home. Each studio offers a different experience. I have built great relationships with them and for the most part they have all been there with me through each experience. So unlike other performers I nothing but good to say about these studios.

Have any of the major studios (i.e. Raging Stallion, Lucas Entertainment, etc.) approached you to work with them? If not, if they were to extend an offer, would you work with them? 

No, none of the west coast/non-urban studios have ever reached out to me. I wonder what that’s all about! Hmph! If maybe 2-3 years ago they reached out to me I’d more than happy to work with them. Today, ehh, maybe. I ‘m not doing much work these days.

Bareback porn is making a huge comeback in porn! You could pretty much say its almost becoming the norm again. Throughout your career, you have strictly done Safe Sex movies. I’m sure you have been approached to do Raw/Bareback scenes. Is there a reason why you haven’t done any Bareback porn? And would you consider doing it?

I’ve been approached to do it once, and of course I declined. I have always said it is our responsibility to promote responsible sexual behaviors. I know that entertainment influences the fans, and I don’t want to influence that. When I started in the industry it was not only the norm to use condoms, it was a requirement, and that stuck with me.

Continuing on with Bareback porn and HIV, there is a big debate whether or not people seeing Bareback/Raw porn will promote “unsafe” sexual practices, hence the rise in HIV infections particularly in the gay/bi sexuality community especially within the Black/Latino community. What are your thoughts on this?

I think I’d have to agree. People like the fantasy, some people (most people) take as far as repeating what they see. Hence, we have thousands of guy posting bareback videos on xtube sometimes with people they barely know. I would like for everyone reading to ask themselves – Do you think that it promotes unsafe sex and perpetuates the epidemic of HIV and the host of other Sexually Transmitted Infections???

During your porn career, you have worked with some sexy men. Which porn stars did really enjoy working with?

At this point it’s so hard to narrow it down. My all time favorite is and will always be Remy Mars! I really enjoyed working with Hot Rod, Carlito, Kidd, Jovonnie, Shorty J, Obession, Arguez, Markell, Maseo, Jermany, Romance…. This list goes on…

When you agree to do a film, do you have a say so in whom you work with?

Yes. People may feel that they don’t, but we always have a say. If you are being paired with someone you don’t want to work with you can easily say NO.

To give an optimal performance, what is required of the guy you have a scene with? (i.e. body type, etc.)

Sadly, I’m not picky with that. I trust the producers judgment for the most part. That scene will reflect on me, my partner and that studio so if they pick some one shitty, that would be good for them, and sometimes we have had some not so fortunate faces, but they either made it up in their performance or body. My pet peeve is don’t talk to me too much before the scene cause if you sound stupid you will turn me all the way OFF!

What porn stars would you like to work with that you haven’t so far?

I’ve accomplished all of that. I’d much rather work with a few again. I wouldn’t mind a 3some with Hot Rod & Maseo. Maybe Cuban Michaels, Remy and myself.

Throughout your career, you have showcased great versatility. I think you are so popular and have staying power is not only are you attractive with a big dick and nice ass but you aren’t afraid to explore sex as a top and bottom. When not on film, are you a more top or truly versatile or more bottom?

Thank you so much. I’d like to call myself a versatile top. I’d prefer to only top, but sometimes you have to compromise and like most gays, we all have that itch some times.

You have done both 1-1 scenes and 3somes. Which do you prefer more? If your private life, do you prefer 1-1? 3somes/Groups?

I prefer both short and simply.

Do you prefer to fuck a smooth or hairy ass? When being fucked, do you prefer the dick to be long or thick or both?

I can do a smooth or hairy ass, as long as it’s not TOO hairy. Not sure what my preference is on dick size. If I’m bottoming I don’t want a small pencil dick jabbing me nor do I want a giant fist in my ass, lol.

Amazingly throughout your porn career, we haven’t seen you do any type of fetish films. Are you willing to do any on film? What fetishes would you be interested in doing?

I am so bored with porn all together I’m not sure I’ll get into it. If I were to do fetish porn maybe bondage, leather, things like that.

How and when did you lose your virginity? 

I lost my virginity when I was a young teenager to a girl who lived in the apartment building I did.

For those who don’t know, you’re currently in relationship. Was your work in the adult industry a problem when you two initially started dating? Was it a problem for prior relationships?

It’s always an issue, always have been. Both for the good and bad. We entered into this relationship with open and honest communication. He knew what he was getting himself into and he got to know the person beyond the porn star. Strangers and fans make an issue out of it, not us.

Many people can have a one-dimensional view of porn stars. What would you say are some misperceptions people have about you?

People constantly approach me for sex and think that everything I do must be sexually oriented. In fact I get quite fed up with sex often. I can hold an intelligent conversation and I aspire to and will do so much more than be a porn star despite the negative undertone associated with it.

All good things must come to an end and we all know you won’t be in porn your whole life. How much longer do you see yourself being in the adult industry?

A truth is it is hard for someone who has made a living of it to leave completely alone. Once I announced a retirement, and I came back. I then got into a relationship so I quietly just stopped doing it. The relationship didn’t work so I came back. At this point I am truly getting bored and it’s getting old and so am I. So I would say that my stint in porn is quickly coming to an end.

What are your plans once you retire from the porn business? 

Well, I’ve already began working on several different projects. I filmed a documentary about my life called “The Way to Kevin”. It is being entered into several film festivals. I started a web series called “Momma’z Boi” which is posted on YouTube weekly (Kevyn Mines channel) . It is about a young college student who goes home to visit his mother to tell her that he’s in love, and it’s not a girl. After she blows up about him being gay and tells him to leave, she calls him back to tell him that she herself is a lesbian. Also, I will soon return to doing my live weekly talk show The Kevyn M Show. I recently shot a pilot for a reality show. So my world is full of other projects that will keep me busy and accessible to my fans.

What hobbies do you enjoy? What do you like to do in your spare time?

Weird enough, I really enjoy coloring in a coloring book. I don’t much time to because I am always shooting something or editing something. But when I get down time I’m spending those moments with my baby, out at gathers or… COLORING.

What is something your fans might be shocked to know about you!

Up until very recently, I didn’t like to watch porn… AT ALL, especially if I was in it.

I’m sure you are aware that the US is in the midst of a very “Intense” election season. Do you follow politics? If so, how do you think President Obama is doing? Do you think he will be re-elected?

I do follow politics a little. I believe President Obama is doing an AMAZING job. A few things (very few) he can do better, but I’ve considered that he has his work cut out for him to try to reconstruct a country in fours that someone f*cked up in eight and try to get another four years to finish reconstructing.  I believe he has a great chance of being re-elected, if everyone gets up and votes.

Yes, always follow your dreams no matter what has happened in the past. Remember it’s just that, PAST. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover because you could be missing out on a valuable lesson. Walk in YOUR truth, no one can tell you how to be you better than YOU.
