ONYX’s Blackout 15

If you have been following my blog, you know I’m a member of ONYX! We recently held our annual gathering called “BLACKOUT” in Ft. Lauderdale in early October. I was the official photographer and took tons of photos. Overall, the weekend was cool but the highlight for me was meeting our erotic dancer “Wade Stone” from Forbidden Funk’s Black Breeders Vol. 1 movie. He is in the 3rd scene. The light skin brother with the tattoo on his back. He is super cool and sexier in person. Another fun part of the weekend was our Fellowship Dinner at a place called Lips. It’s a drag queen cabaret. The food was good, staff was nice and the “girls” were fierce!

Enjoy some of the photos from the trip!

Check out Black Gay British Film – "Say My Name"

I recently sat down and watched this great movie short called “Say My Name”. It’s a great story that deals with a matter that lots of black/latino couples deal with – openness about their relationship with family and friends. You can read more about the movie, the director, and more here on the “Say My Name” website!

Check out the short movie on the “Say My Name” website.

Lesbian Couple Aisha Mills and Danielle Moodie’s Wedding Profiled on Essence.com

The premiere magazine for Women of Color profiled a lesbian couple in their “Bridal Bliss” segment of their online magazine! The couple, Aisha Mills and Danielle Moodie, met at a friend’s gathering 6 years ago and it was instant love. You can read more about them here! I give mad kudos to Essence for recognizing a LGBT couple and not bending to the pressures of the church hypocrites and more! Now if other People of Color magazines would do that, it would be a good day!
